Hello hello! posting so soon again, say you? well, for once i have interesting things to say.
my personal heater left me last night to go back home, and the trip to airport was quite the excursion. so about 30 minutes into the trip, we realize we're going the complete wrong direction, so we turn around and try to haul ass back to the airport. understand that according to the school directions, the airport is 50 min. away from the school in 'clear conditions'. we all know that it's really more like 40, but still. so we have less than an hour before tony's flight is scheduled to leave (8:14). luckily, we did have a few things going for us. 1: tony DOES drive an m3, 2: driving conditions were pretty good at that time of day, 3: no luggage to check in, 4: small airport.
the plan was that he would drive to the airport, park the car in the lot, and i would go on home. obviously we realized that he would not be able to have time to park the car, so it was decided that i would do this for him. oOoo! steph gets to drive tony's car! woohoo! well, to park it. but still! anyways, the story gets better. then tony decides that he trusts me enough to drive the car BACK TO SCHOOL for him. yes, i had joked w/ him about this before, and WOAH he TRUST ME to take his most precious possession on the highway. for a lengthened period of time! wow...i felt so honored.
anyways, so we get to the airport, and he jets out(no pun intended), leaving me to wait for him to make sure he gets onto the plane. realize that we get to the airport @ 8:04. recall that it leaves at 8:14. so i pull out onto the side thing and wait for his phone call. he calls me and tells me he just made it (panting from the running, of course), so i am free to leave. and what a ride it was. i couldnt fully enjoy it, given i have never driven in pittsburgh, and i was driving tony's car. i was really cold the entire time, w/ the heat turned up real high too. probably something to do w/ the nerves.
i made it back to the school in one piece, then remembered i had to parallel park the car. i was told that i could call josh, and he would do this for me. turns out josh was at work, and i couldnt think of anyone else to call. frank was naked in his room, plus he has no license. poor stephanie had to do it herself, something she hasnt done since she took drivers ed 4 short years ago. i had to do it twice w/ the teacher w/ me, and i was done, never to parallel park again. so i find this nice spot, right in front of the sororities. it looked big enough for sure, but also quite small. whew! i pull up beside it, turn my steering wheel all the way to the right, make a 45 degree angle, and go the other way. i was unfamiliar w/ the length of his car(well, the length of all cars), so i was so scared i'd hit the car behind me. i adjusted a few million times, and i was in! i was trying to line myself up w/ the carolla in front of me, then i realized that its tires were against the curb. i step out of the car, and pride myself up on a job well done. then i realize that i had plenty of room behind me, so i get back in the car and move it back a few inches. yay! steph paralleled park, ALL ON HER OWN! *pat on the back* yea then i also realized it was the weekend, so parking in the garage was free. o well, too late.
then later frank, kenny, and i 'pregamed' at stephFanie's place. What? drinking? no. our pregaming consists of actual gaming, of DDR BABY! hahaha. that and tricky, which obviously i dont play cuz i dont do video games. whew! what a work out. fun stuff tho. i must play more so i can get better. ddr is fun. and NO i didnt scrunch up the pad as usual. i actually did semi-decent, which is quite surprising.
anyways, then off we headed to the party, where the first bit was making sure poor minji was ok. first time drinker, took 4 shots of vodka in a row. poor girl. luckily she has good friends and they made sure she was ok.
rock jungle was interesting, nice atmosphere. it's been a while since i've been to a real club, i dont call this laga/joy stuff real clubs. anyways, yea. had an OK time overall, interesting watching the freshman interact w/ each other. there seems to be more of them this year than there were of us last year. they seem kool, i wouldnt mind meeting them i guess.
bus ride there and home were interesting trips. on the way there, these drunk girls were talking about erm...yea you can ask frank about it. on the ride home, it was 3 to a seat(so crowded!) and the indians were getting rowdy. one guy puked right when we got to the school. luckily i had moved up before, cuz if i hadnt, he would've been 2 seats behind me. *ugh* frank and i then walked over to donner, where minji was doing a lot better. she's lucky to have such a good friend. i sure hope if i was puking my brains out, i had a friend who would sit there and clean up my puke and be nice to me even if i was being so belligerent.
anyways, now i'm sitting here this morning proctoring an SAT class, almost against my will. i was so looking forward to sleeping in. bah. i guess it's not so bad, i got some work accomplished. working on <4 hours of sleep tho. i'm having trouble sleeping too, but it should be OK soon. :\ i dont see how frank does it. i feel like a sack of wet concrete.
yes, a nice long blog for you. and you and you!
