ATTENTION! This entry will be VERY boring to anyone who reads it. Note: it's NOT FOR YOU! And for those IES people if you happen to read this, HELLO! But I doubt any one of yall will.

I guess it's about time that I finally post my summary about my awesome trip to Australia. I'm in the mood, I've put my pictures into my photo album with side comments, and I've just finished listening to Superstar by Jamelia. Go dl if you don't have it. :) Look at me, I'm writing with proper capitalization! Amazing. Anyways, as most of you already know, I have 2 albums currently online. I'm missing about 3 digital pictures that I should be getting in a few weeks, which I'll post here. Also, I didn't scan all my pictures, so if you're ever bored CMU people, drop by Resnik and you can flip through my album.

I kept my album in chronological order, and I managed to date everything, so I'm going to list stuff in the order they happened. Of course I'll forget random things to put in here, but whatever.



Highlights/Lowlights/Funny things I remember.

WEEK 1

~Delayed flight, spent the night in LA, stopover in Sydney where I met Meghan, finally getting to GV.

~Meeting my roommates YAY! Parliament House. trying to find somewhere open on a Sunday to eat. First footy game (stupid rain). Not understanding much footy at all. Meeting most of the GV people. Trying to learn everyone's names.

~Dinner on Lygon Street. Free wine! Zack and Andre getting swervy. Learning the word swervy. Leap frog over me for tying shoelaces.

~First time at Mercury! Too bad no pictures to document it. Quickly makes everyone more comfortable with each other. Andre wins at the slots!

~Metro. HAHA. Goth night. Tipsy Daniel complaining all night about the fucking goths with skateboards, and how he doesn't want them around or something. Hilarious. First of the many not so good club outings. This one saved by going to Depot. Watched Daniel hit on/talk to a couple. haha. Anchi getting a number (good job!). Waited for Daniel to hit on a girl before Claire, Anchi, and I could leave. Didn't even end up with the number. *sigh*.

~GRAMPIANS! Underground tunnels at the winery with weird growth on the walls. Wild kangaroos all over the place! Freezing cold nights. Ping pong master, Andi Gayle with her awesome sportsmanship. Setting up the tables, washing dishes (boo), awesome TEAM 3! Walking on top of logs. Crappy trapeze jump for me. Rock climbing and abseiling. Hearing about the crazy biking where Anchi smashed up his body on. Hard core 3 hour hike. No one willing to say to take a break, but everyone wanted it. So tiring! Saw a wallaby on the way. Footy on the kangaroo poo field. Getting smashed in the mud by Alex. Getting a picture with the cute 19 year old tour guide there. First time gossiping with the girls. :)

WEEK 2

~SYDNEY TRIP! Woohoo! So glad we had the group we did, it was an AWESOME group. Where to begin...my goodness. First free beer/cider at O'Malleys while waiting for the boys to land. Empire and World Bar the first night. Toss the Boss at Empire(which I didnt play), free beer at World Bar, watching Zack dance with a chick that was ALL over him hee hee, then back to Empire, and watched Zack again dance with another chick that was all over him. Early morning, saw a syringe on the ground. Kings Cross = red light district. Constant barrage of prostitutes asking "Want sex?". Strip clubs every 10 yards. One phrase: FUNK HOUSE. Daniel's soiled sheets. Heather's crazy stories about the random guy that looked up her skirt, then the other guy who randomly gave her his number on a piece of trash. Royal Botanical Gardens = beautiful. Nice Sydney weather. Opera House pictures from every view. Inside the Opera House. The Mikado where we were all looked like scrubs. Manly Beach, Bondi Beach. Got to know Anchi a lot better, instead of our previous relationship, ie telling me to shut up every other second by red carding me and me ignoring him.

WEEK 3

~TIMTAM ice cream! 1 whole carton eaten in a matter of minutes by 6 lovely ladies.

~Internships begin. BOO. Let's not remember this too much. University of Melbourne Credit Union. Spider Solitaire and email are my friends.

~Somewhere along the way here, Daniel and I start to become excellent friends. Internship email buddies and lunch buddies, late night peanut butter and honey sandwiches along with our talks.

~FFour this week I think? Everyone left us, Zack, Daniel and I were the only ones left.

~Day trip #1 with Melissa, Sam, and Andi Gayle. Cattle farm where we saw tame kangaroos. One didn't like us and kept running away. Koala Conservation. Trying to take pictures of koalas really high up. Really cute little things. Phillip Island. ADORABLE penguins! No pictures of them, cuz it's not allowed. Shocked that Andi Gayle actually wanted to try a squatty toilet.

WEEK 4

~Next Blue: Zack, Daniel, Andre, Collette, Katelyn, Me. Plus a billion Asians. Asian night at Next Blue just cuz Jin was there. He didn't even perform. Daniel starts to see that Asians can be hot. hahaha.

~Hair cut with Andi Gayle in Camberwell! Yay!

~4 people spoon/sandwich on the fold out couch. Lazed an entire day away.

~Ski trip! The making of sandwiches the night before. Waking up so f---ing early to catch the bus which was late. So f---ing COLD! Huge wipeout on my 2nd run. Reminds me how much I hate moguls. Behind Enemy Lines. Owen Wilson is the best actor of our generation. The switcheroo seats on the bus. ;)

~Samantha's birthday! Yummy black forest cake devoured by the 8 ladies of GV in a matter of minutes. Awesome crepe paper decorations done by Claire, Heather, and I. YAY for sparklers and setting off the fire alarm, but that's ok cuz we managed to quickly stop it. First trip to DeBiers. SOO tired that night from skiing that we only managed to stay an hour, even though DeBiers was a good place (for once). Random Indian sorta hitting on me at DeBiers. Weird.

WEEK 5

~Trip to the Old Melbourne Gaol (pronounced 'jail') with Daniel. Dressing up in Ned Kelly replica armour and looking retarded.

~Another trip to DeBiers, which turned out to be another Goth Night.

~Claire coming out of the shower and finding Anchi in her bed wearing only socks and boxer briefs eating spaghetti. HAHAHA. Anthony rolling around in only boxers in my bed (UGH).

~Another trip to Mercury. Woohoo! Sad how much fun we have here. First time Scott hangs out w/ us in a smaller group. What a kool guy.

~2nd Footy game, this time at Telstra Dome. Watched all these kids playing footy outside which was cute. Hit up the place with 4 other chicks. Go Magpies!

~Another trip to DeBiers, this time successful. Quite hot and sweaty, though. Anchi gets into his groove with Andre's dance lessons along with alcohol in his system. :)

~Great Ocean Road trip with my day tour buddies again. Aussie tea, those yummy cakes I can't remember the name of, Vegemite (eww). Beautiful scenery the entire time. The most beautiful rainbow I've ever seen followed us for a couple of hours. Singing along to the music on the bus! Otway Rainforest. Treetop walk. Actually raining in the forest as we took our walk. Andi Gayle and me's efforts at more creative pictures, haha. The 12 Apostles. "I'm so pumped to see the 12 Apostles. OMG there they are!" -Melissa. "Those are noble missions." -Sam, referring to finding a bathroom and finding food. hahahaha. Meeting up Heather and Claire along the Great Ocean Road! WoohoO!

WEEK 6

~Essay Exams. booo.

~Internship powerpoint presentations. Mine was the best. No one will ever beat it. I was so proud of myself; I've never done anything so brutally honest before like that. Balls to the wall!

~Farewell dinner. Pictures galore.

~Mercury again tonight. This time not as great, but that's understandable, it was a Wednesday. Always weird creepy guys there. This gross guy deliberately touching my ass. RAWR! I need to grow a thicker skin to turn around and say mean words. Instead, Anchi had to go say something for me, dragging me along of course. *sigh* Bastard didn't admit anything. Watching Liz and that other teacher get drunk and dance. HAHAHA hilarious. Interesting to talk/dance with Trent, considering he's sort of our desk attendant person, but he was kool. Constantly asking where Collette was, heh.

~Museum trip with Anchi. Learned some nice things about the human body. Picture with fake poop. hahaha.

~Last trip to Oriental Bistro with Anchi. #66 Satay beef with udon noodles for Anchi as usual, I switched it up. 2nd dinner that night along the Yarra River with almost everyone from GV. Huge debate with Daniel and Anchi about me and my nice restaurant fetish. It's ok, I still love em.

~Said bye bye to people leaving on Cairns trip. :(

~St Kilda. Walked around with dorky touristy matching shirts with Daniel. Got stares all day. We're kool. MOPEDS!!! With Andre and Daniel. "No one should have this much fun" -Andre. So I'm not such a good driver, and I'm not as fast as the boys. But it was still TONS of fun honking our little horns at people, using our turn signals to get around people. Everyone along the strip stared at us, some laughing some looked annoyed. haha. BEAUTIFUL last day in Melbourne, the best day out of the 6 weeks.

~Last night. Helped Daniel pack his suitcases like a mom.

~Flight back w/ Daniel. Watched 4 mediocre movies with little sleep. Had a last good talk to Daniel before parting ways. Will be expecting drunken phone calls from this kid during the year.

Random memories that I don't know where they go.

SUPERSTAR!!! Australia's obsession with Michael Jackson. Queen Victoria Market, and it's mandarin oranges. 1.40 for a kilo! Can't believe I didn't take a picture of one. All our not so great outings (many of them). So many people peeing in the streets/alleys. guys AND girls. Movies: Spiderman, Supersize me. All the fun girl talks. Shopping excursions! Pimp matching Australia jackets. TV shows. That random tv show who's name I can't remember that Melissa and I like. Our 5 channels which seem to show CSI and Law and Order all the time. Australia game shows. All of Anchi and mine talks about hypothetical situations, out opinions, and stances on certain issues. What a great guy to debate with. My constant mothering of him (Asian bias, as Daniel calls it). Bandaids, Neosporin, tissues, peeling oranges, but NO ironing. All of Daniel and mine talks about everything under the sun. He understands me incredibly well, and in such a short amount of time. My awesome roomies who put up w/ my messiness and my random crap. Trips to the gym. Scary situation on the tram where I almost got fined but didn't (whew! Daniel was around for that. haha). The lack of housekeeping people in our rooms halfway through the trip. The disgusting pigsty of a room in the boys room. The KOOL hangout room = our room. Many a drinking game i watched. Kings (is that what it's called?), mushroom, and that other random toilet bowl looking one. I don't play, so I don't know the names. Some boring classes, yet I think I retained a lot of information. Nice view of Parliament from our room. All the sketchy guys at Mercury, and in King's Cross. Learning street names. Bowling!! MEETING ALL THESE KOOL PEOPLE!
