Carnival has come and gone, another week has gone by, and I'm 1 week away from finishing the end of classes. This year has flown by. This past week has been filled with hw assignments, presentations, and bug fixing. I've spent the last semester dedicated to my Software Development Project, a ticketing system for our college's drama department (all fake). If you read my profile, you've probably seen the link. My awesome team developed this from scratch; there's a sweet backend to it, and we've spent hours on this. We're VERY proud. If you'd like to see: Regular Customer and Employee. If you're looking at the employee side, login as Username: a, Password: a. It's kickass, let me tell ya. It's not even close to being complete, but hey, we only had one semester.

Anyways, besides that, below are some pictures for carnival. For those people who don't understand what Carnival is, it's pretty much a weekend where we get 2 days of school off (Thurs and Fri), and they bring a carnival to school, complete with ri[rip-off games, ferris wheel, and other rides. Students participate with buggy, and booth. Buggy is like a relay race, where a girl sits inside a tiny buggy (no engines) and people take turns pushing. Hard to explain. Anyways, no pictures of that, cuz that's too damn early in the morning. Other big thing is booth. There's a theme every year, and this year it's called "How Things Work". When I say booth, I don't just mean like a tiny 4 sided wooden room (although the blitz booths are like that), people go all out. Each booth also has to have some sort of game inside. Some do the typical beanbag toss, etc, and some go all out w/ flash games, all types of stuff. Below are some of the highlights:

Singapore Student's Association: Time (2nd place in independent division)

Phi Kappa Theta: Fear

Delta Upsilon: Government (3rd place in frat divison)
This one was REALLY detailed. I heard they spent $35,000 on it. There was lots of detail in the columns and statues they made.

Kappa Delta Rho: Space Travel (1st place in frat divison)
Inside had this whole navigating through space game.

Sigma Phi Epsilon: Rock and Roll (2st place in frat divison)
This one is my personal favorite. It was REALLY nice

The insides are also decorated with all sorts of good stuff; in this one, one of the guys BUILT this guitar using light sensors or something. You cover up the lights and the guitar plays. It was SOO KOOL!

And since it's been a while since yall seen what we look like, here ya go.

What's really sad is these are pretty much all torn down after 2 days. The bulk of the booths are made after move-on, in about a week. They're supposed to have been working on it all semester long. Pretty kool. Man. The sacrifices people make in their school work to do this kinda stuff. As you can see, I'm a real lazy person. hah i just go and admire, not build.
