i'm waiting 4 my biore strip to dry, and i dont feel like studying yet, so i'm gonna give a recap of my weekend. no pictures, sorry. hmm..i'm having trouble remembering what happened.

Friday: went to go eat pho (WE FOUND REAL PHO!!!). yayy!!! but they only have 1 option of pho. @ least it's real. then we went to watch the pirates play the dodgers. pnc park is kinda pretty. it reminds of turner field in atlanta. not as big, tho. but it's quite new. finished in 2001. man, i still havent seen enron field. anyways, it was supposed 2 rain but it didnt. good deal. the weather was quite nice, and we sat around some extremely rowdy semi-drunk people. there was this old man who flashed his pot belly to the world. yea...FREAK. plus these 2 high schoolish girls in front flirting w/ all these strangers. nice people, tho. notice i'm not mentioning the game b/c it's not worthy of mentioning. we took chris to the greyhound station so he could take his trip to go see JENI, then we headed on home(we being tony, frank, and i). the rest of the kids went 2 go paintball it up, and returned looking like they have hickeys all over them.

Saturday: met frank's friend from home who's visiting cmu and ate @ lulus, got some dave and andy's ice cream(which is actually pretty good. not marble slab, but hey, i'm biased). then the huge-o group-o went to watch "better luck tomorrow". yea...as in HUGE group. ok, maybe in high school we rolled in big groups, but i've forgotten how difficult it is 2 coordinate such events w/ every1. anyways, yes. the movie was quite...disturbing. i had mental images of the movie stuck in my brain for the entire day after. i dont wanna ruin it for anyone, but it's definitely worth a watch. i just hope non-asian people dont think we're all crazy like that. but it's nice 2 have a movie out there that shows that all us asians arent nerd-os. anyways, the whole "loosely based on a true story" is kinda weird. hmm...yea. if u've seen the movie, i'd like 2 hear your thoughts on it.

Sunday: i was supposed 2 go 2 work, but no 1 showed up. boo. so i only worked for an hour. no worries, i'm working this saturday, proctoring for an LSAT. woohoo! that means i'm gonna sit there and study. proctoring is great. 8 bucks an hour to study. yea...i did get some work done tho. nothing interesting here.

and now it's back 2 school. 5 exams this week. is this finals week u ask? no siree it's not. hope i do well.

sorry 4 this being such a boring post. i think my biore strip is dry now.

yup, i'm updating. 1st of all, i'd like to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my one and only MARY LIN who's birthday also falls on earth day. go mary! go earth!

Anyways, this past weekend turned out to be filled with many new experiences.

1st of all, i went to falling waters with tony, chris, and margot. for all those not in the know, it's frank lloyd wright's most famous house. it was basically the house that catapulted his career at a nice ripe age of 70. yea...ok i'm sure u dont care or anything. it was way kool tho. built in the 30s, it was really modern, w/ a theatre, 3 car garage, the works. wright liked to build things that worked with nature, so the point of this house is basically to look like it is a part of nature. he built it right on top of a waterfall, WAY kool. quite revolutionary. i also went 2 kentuck knob, which is another wright house. it's not as fancy schmancy, but it definitely demonstrated many of wright's principles in architecture. plus the guy that lives there now is this guy called lord pulombo or something, who is the godfather to fergie's oldest son....something like that. he was also there while we were checking out his house. this guy has a whole buncha sculptures on his property too, but me being the non-artsy fartsy person cant tell u what any of it is. btw, i just wanna note that wright came up w/ the koolest windows ever, and if i ever have a house built, i want those windows. anyways, i thought this trip was a success cuz i learned a lot of stuff and i gained a whole new appreciation for all that archi stuff. go dave!!

Afterwards, tony and i went to the top of mount washington on the monagahela(?) incline. it was actually a nice day and from up there, pittsburgh doesnt look so bad. o yea, we also saw some fireworks cuz some1 hit a homerun @ pnc park while we were up there.(note: tony has informed he that there was NOT a homerun, so yea. i dont know y there were fireworks) and me having my fear of heights had problems looking down, but that's ok. it was still nice. then we went to this yum yum japanese restaurant at station square, which besides the small selection, is actually quite good. my dad always told me to notice the names of japanese restaurants when choosing a good one, and also noting what type of person opened it. well, this was called kiku and it was opened by a japanese guy, and all the chefs were japanese so that was good. 2 bad i wasnt so hungry(after eating like 4 meals that day) so i couldnt get a whole sashimi. they had no amaebi :( b/c they say it's not in season. instead i got a toro, among some other stuff. on the way back we took the T(pittsburgh's light rail), which is actually a lot bigger than i had previously thought. instead of being only 4 stops, it's 4 LINES. it mostly runs to the suburban areas, so it doesnt really affect us @ cmu very much. it was decent, and trying to figure out which one to ride was kinda fun ;). anyways, massive thanks 2 tony for taking me out for the first time. :) it was great fun, altho i was really tired and sleepy. getting up @ 9 to falling waters makes one tired man! but obviously not THAT tired. ;)

As a recap of all the new stuff i did on the weekend:
went to fallingwater and kentuck knob. went to mount washington. went to station square. rode the T. went to the wendy's and starbucks in oakland, and ALMOST had dave and andy's ice cream(it wasnt open). too bad i miss marble slab. *sigh*

So here i'll begin posting cuz i know u're eager to see.

this is what the house looks like. pretty pimptakular eh? the foundation of the house rests on the boulders there, and those boulders werent cut or anything. btw, he designed this house in like 3 hours. you can kinda see the windows in this picture. see the red windows? both open up, so the whole corner of your house is open. it's kind of hard to explain. also, u can walk into the river from the living room. there's this really kool staircase thing.

yea...another picture of the 'original gaylords' as yall like to term it. he kinda looks like he's in pain. beats me y.

yea...i'm just retardo. this is 1 of those random sculptures on the property of kentuck knob.

lord pulombo also had 2 pieces of the berlin wall on his property. pretty kool eh?

and here's a purty picture of the skyline of pittsburgh @ night from mount washington. yea, it's not so bad right?

and for your viewing pleasure, here's 2 pictures of my gorgeous, hot, sexy best friend JESSICA!!! yes boys, try not to drool 2 much. hands off, she's ALL MINE!!

Anyways, i only used a few pictures today. if u wanna see more, head on over 2 tony's xanga. and as usual, eprops him!

to my chagrin, my blogs are quite boring due 2 the lack of pictures. we havent been doing anything majorly interesting lately, so i apologize. plus this is chris's fault cuz he's not keeping his camera handy 2 catch all of the spontaneous moments of hilarity. hilarity. isnt that a tony word? o well, guess he's rubbing off on me. anyways, here's some random old school pictures.

guess who's the cutey pie on the left. isnt she CUTE? (hint: no it's not me.:))

yea, that's right. it's ANN CHIN!!!! isnt she so freaking adorable? well, WAS. hahaha jp!

this was during project graduation. we all decided to get i love ann arm paint on us. heh. my idea. hahaha. yes, we are obsessed.

um..yea i have a lack of old pictures on my computer. this is from homecoming. yea...down south we do this thing where we exchange mums and garters the day b4 the dance. the girl's is really big, and she pins it 2 her shirt usually(i'm wearing mine w/ a ribbon around my neck) and the guy's is attached 2 the arm w/ a garter. the typical one is made w/ school colors(i had fun making koller's, it's all pastel..hehehee). anyways, i liked this picture.

here's a b4 picture of my sister and i back in the day...

here's one from june @ my graduation. do u think we look alike? in pictures we have a tendency to look like sisters. i think we have similar eyes when we smile.

yea...that's it. till i get more pictures from chris.

anyways, it's time 4 CARNIVAL!!! woohoo! ok. i'm not really excited about it being carnival, it's more about the fact there's no school friday. last holiday b4 school ends...only a month left yall! yea...it's almost time 4 1 of those "reflective of the past school year" blogs. but i'll give it some more time. plus no1 is ever interested in reading it. 2 bad so sad 4 u. i'm not MAKING u read it so BLARGH.

my interp class got cancelled when i woke up. good thing i check my email religiously, b/c if i didnt check in the morning, i would've gone. crazy me. i have nothing of major interest to talk about. it's wayyy freaking hot in my room, i dunno what's up w/ that. constant beads of sweat are rolling of my body. no exaggeration. i'm sweating right now just sitting here. dang it.
