Work has begun. 3 days of Firmwide training, and so far, 1 day of IT training. I thought the next 7 weeks was going to be a breeze, but it's going to be some hard coreness. AWESOME. On the bright side, I met my team today and my fellow new analysts, and it seems to be an extremely intelligent and fun group. After these few days, I have begun to start sipping 'the koolaide', as they call it, but I WILL stay grounded.

I have also become a grandma, going to bed super early. After work I get home, and I realize I'm not even feeling that social. I barely wanna get online and chat, cuz I'm just tired. All I wanna do is sleep. Which is kinda sad cuz work hasn't even REALLY started. I get worn out just from sitting there and listening to a million presentations. And Monday begins the coding, which I am SOOOO looking forward to. Yea. Right.

But in general, I believe I made the right decision. It's a great company.

Today is my last official weekday of freedom. No work, no nothing. Yes, there will be vacation and holidays in the future, but work always looms around the corner. Kinda like how it is looming right now, but it's a different type of loom. No big plans, really. Just trying to get my stuff in order and get ready for the beginning of workity workity. Right now I'm getting guests and visitors to the Big Apple like woah. I kinda wish they'd spread out their visits a bit more (I KNOW once the cold sets in no one will be coming), but it's nice seeing people. Plus there's a buncha NYC-ers that I haven't even seen yet cuz everyone's busy with the start of work and such.
