i just re-watched center stage again. gawd that movie is so great. glad i bought it at block buster last summer. makes me wanna be a dancer again...I WANT A CHARLIE!!! he's adorable. there's something off about his face, but when you think about the overall package, it's good stuff.

ok i wanna go watch an American Ballet Theatre performance, so i can watch cooper neilson AND charlie. ok, REAL names are Ethan Stiefel and Sascha Radetsky. kinduva weird name for a guy, but w/e. the way their bodies are toned...i dont care if his name was barbie. ok, maybe. but not really.

geez! i wanna DANCE!!! take a class or something...

i figure it's been a while since i've had anything interesting to say here, probably due to the fact i dont really have a social life. this summer is reminiscient of summers before i could drive. cars sure really make a difference.

anyways, thanks to the nudging of my friends, i decided to finally peel myself away from my friend the computer, and meet up w/ frank and his friends in the city. the ride there was interesting, w/ me actually maneuvering my way to my sister's place in brooklyn all on my own. i think it was my first time taking a subway on my own also now that i think of it...yeayea not a big deal for all you nyc big shots, but i'm just a country bumpkin from texas. :)

i had a good time hanging out w/ my sister, angela, sharon, and alex (all family friends from houston). they're really funny. plus, the shishkibobs(sp?) were REALLY deeeLICIOUS!

so frank/albert call me, and tell me they're @ serendipitys with everybody, so i take the train to uh...lexington and something. and i freaking walk a LOT of stairs. i didnt know that subway station was THAT far underground. at least 6 flights. and you know me and my walking stairs obsession. so i'm walking toward them, and i see everybody standing in front of a candy store. previously i was a bit hesitant about going out w/ frank's friends since i didnt know them, but it turned out to be completely OK, and plus i had met em all the previous month for frank's birthday. so here's a big THANKS FRANK for inviting me to go out w/ his friends. they're all freaking hilarious too.

i wont go into detail about the night, considering it wasnt majorly interesting or anything, plus the party kinda sucked (too similar to cmu parties for my taste). AND the dj sucked. what was w/ all the jamaican music?? at the same time tho, it was fun for me considering it was my first time going out since...since the entire summer. unless you consider my houston/nyc 10 day stay.

also, walking back after the party was nice. sure, we're all broke and decided to be cheap and not take the subway, but the weather was SO nice and the walk was fun. cept that part where we kinda walked in a circle. but that's ok. o yea, the view from yoonjae's apt was freaking nice. seeing the statue of liberty in the progression from dark to light is quite spiffy. he should use that as a pick up girls thing. it was quite nice.

in the morning it was back to my sister's place for shower, sleep, and brunch. had a nice subway time where there was a fire at the stop ahead and i had to go updown and catch the F back down. quite the hassle, but i made it safely back.

i KNOW you didnt find that extremely entertaining, but what can i say. so i shall leave you w/ pictures of the sexiest car i have seen yet, shown to me by tony.

i think the spoiler is kinda ugly. but DANG this car is freaking SEXY! that type of door....if you wanna pick up a girl, that's the way to do it. you got me at hello? no...you got me with the DOORS!

and then i saw this car, and it's QUITE pimp too.

yea i know i'm not really a car person for the most part...but LOOK AT THESE MAN!!!

really makes you appreciate life that much more.

*edited*

OK all you crazy hazy CMU-ers. today i thought, "hey, school's only alittle more than a month away. it's time to start thinking about stuff to do during then." besides researching volunteer opportunities, i've been looking into different FUN FUN FUN (at least i HOPE they are) wholesome activities for us to do during the following semester. some of the following probably wont happen, but it'd be nice. check out the following, and if yall are interested, i shall look into it.

in no specific order:

cedar point/six flags: this trip is bound to be a lot of fun, and if we go we'd be going over midsemester break. a down side would be the amount of money we'd be spending on it. six flags is a bit cheaper, but cedar point boasts some of the best (supposedly) roller coasters in the world. i dont know if this trip is feasible or not.

the chinatown inn/yum chinese food/dim sum: haha this is random, but in my search of famous aaw for next semester's newsletters, i knew that ming-na wen attended cmu. what i also learned was that she moved to pittsburgh when she was 9, and her parents opened that restaurant. i'd be interested in checking it out. hahah i know i'm a dork. that plus other asian restaurants. we have yet to find ourselves a decent chinese restaurant. or wake up to get dim sum. obviously we cant compare pittsburgh dim sum to the stuff we get in REAL cities, but we should try it out anyways. if we can wake up in time.

the barber of seville: oct 11, 14, 17, 19. opera playing in pittsburgh. i actually wanna see carmen more (it's playing during my birthday!) but i wont be here second semester. boo. anyways, i havent seen an opera in a really long time. in fact, i've only seen 1. i saw aida. plus there's english subs, so we'll understand what's going on.

swan lake: oct 23-26. ballet. HEY at least i'm not asking for you to go w/ me to the symphony. i checked it out, there doesnt seem to be much. except for christmas pops. but i rather watch ballet.

the mikado: sept 25 - oct 26. it's a theatrical showing, by gilbert and sullivan. supposedly their "most comedic operetta". click here in case you were interested. not a very good description, but ok.

a musical: the season isnt up yet, but i like musicals! i watched thoroughly modern millie in nyc over uh...spring break was it? it was AWESOME. we had such pimpass seats. right in the front middle. well, obviously cant compare that to pittsburgh, but still. millie is showing this summer in pittsburgh, if anyone is interested.

science museum/art museum/history museum: i know we've hit up the history museum before, but we went through it so quickly. plus, we havent even been in the other 2 yet. the art one is so close. (!free!)

Frick Art and Historical Center: this kinda reminds me of the outing to falling waters. but this is a lot closer. plus, it looks nice! and free, unless we want to take a tour of the house. (personally, i dont care that much. the car garage is free, so i'm happy).

phipps conservatory: and if we still have some time, i'd like to go to the conservatory again. this time when more plants might be in bloom. it's so close to the school, i could probably go on a weekday by myself in between classes or something. or we. w/e works.

penguin hockey game: i've never been to a hockey game. they seem like such fun. :)

shooting range: this is a bit expensive too, but it'll be wayyyy fun! just think about it. i've wanted to get trained in shooting for a while. obviously i wont get trained, but shooting a gun would be kool. it's something good to know. no, i'm not some weirdo secret murderer.

as i review this list, i realize that a lot of these are cultural types of things. make us more worldy, and educated. plus, it's fun stuff!

whew! that's a long list. are there even enough weekends? well, if i can check off 50% of those, i'll be satisfied. and if yall have any other ideas on stuff to do, tell me!!!

and look at this:

he so cute!
btw, just in case you dont know, this is TONY!!!

this whole job has really been kinda sucky for me. i dont have the time to work out(well, it doesnt fit into my schedule), i eat at bad hours, i eat semi-unhealthy foods, i've got blisters on my feet, and i'm shopping here and there. BLARGH! on the bright side, i worked like 26 hours this week. that's more than double the usual amt of hours i get. o yea! and i opened up a credit card today. this sale is killing me. today i racked up over 5000 bucks of sales. we had 18000 total, so yea. i was over 25%. worked from 10am-11pm. and she didnt give me enough breaks. grrr.

it was so busy today, and people called in sick that they called some boys over from the mens store to come help us. A: i wanna work @ the men's store. and B: some of the guys should come here. not that we're all unisex. there's some at both, but i hear everything at the mens is so much more laid back, and they actually have TIME to goof around. plus, they actually get off at 10:30. and i dont get out till 11. and it's nice having them here, cuz they liven up the semi-dead mood we have going on.

work from 9-6 tomorrow. seriously, it's like i'm asking to be punished. i hope this sale ends soon!

one more thing...

sorry for the recycling of pictures. but arent we just the CUTEST? hahahaha
