see you later, australia. it's been a good ride.

haha before i forget, i just wanted to remind myself of last week, where people peed in the alley. damn that was funny. ok, that was just for myself when i come back and read this in the future.
things are going really good, it kinda sucks that i'm only here for 2 more weeks, i want to stay 1 more week and go to cairns! boo.
so what have i been up to? nothing really. i got me a footy scarf and socks. go footy! man, what a great sport. i learned rugby rules too. good for me. i want to learn cricket rules too, but i dont know anyone that knows them. maybe i'll just walk onto the football field when i go back to cmu and ask some of those obsessed indian people. one day. or never.
3 more days of this internship torture. man, i need to do my laundry. it's so gross wearing the same 2 slacks to work all the time. i did buy another pair, but i need higher heels to wear them, and i am picky about my shoes, and have not found any here that i want to buy.
ooo i went skiing on friday! it was fun, my entire body is disgustingly sore, even my triceps, no idea why, and esp. my lower back. it was also blizzarding, so conditions kinda suck. i think i still like vermont mountains better, but it was still good stuff. stupid skis werent tightened enough, kept on falling off. i swear, i've never had such a problem with skis falling off in my life. i guess i'm spoiled cuz i always get nice new skis and boots when i go with the family.
o yea, i also wanted to mention how this is a really kool experience, cuz i know that if i had met these people at school (assuming we went to the same school), i probably would not be friends with them. throwing us together gives us a chance to actually talk, and then we realize we have more in common, and it's quite intellectually stimulating (which i LOVE). i'm really glad i came on this trip and met these people. while the IES program itself might kinda suck, these people are nice.
btw, i watched supersize me. i dont want to eat mcdonalds anymore. but i probably will.
ps: i want an mp3 player. a small one, i'd be happy with 128 mb. just something small i can use when i'm running on the treadmill. if anyone sees a good deal, LET ME KNOW!!!
edit: my boss thinks i'm some sort of computer expert, right? he comes in and asks me to help fix his computer, cuz he's not getting any of his email today, instead he's getting some sort of error. i told him to restart it. voila! new email! he thinks i'm amazing. how sad is this?

yo, you saying later or later gator or some sort of anti-greeting/farewell almost every single email or blog is super annoying.. i mean seriously, i can recognize the difference between the start, middle, and end of your narratives.. are you going to start beginning every email with a "i am starting this email now" and add an occasional "this is somewhere in the middle of a paragraph" for no reason now?it is entirely unnecessary for you to waste your precious time to point out to me, and everyone else, that you are signing off from the email, blog, or any other written material you may produce.. especially since whoever gets it (even during almost instantaneous email tag) is getting it so after the fact.. i mean, come on! yes, thats been bothering me ever since this summer started i feel like.. thank you.. i am ending this email now.. in 5 seconds, i shall be pressing the send button and then closing mulberry.. here we go.. i'm so excited..
-in the words of tony

so i'm at my internship and it's boring as shit. why? cuz there's nothing to do. anyone who knows anything about web design knows that it's like 80% planning, 20% actually coding. and the stage they're at now, we're not even to the planning stage. we're at the brainstorming stage. and since i'm only here for a few more days, it means i'm not going to do anything that will result in tangible evidence of me doing anything. i've given my ideas already on how the website should change and what should be done, but that's all i can do at this point. i cant even really play w/ phpadmin b/c the server they're currently using doesnt allow it, so they need to change servers; who knows how long that'll take. the past few days i was given the task of looking up every member if this credit union's email and entering their email address into their database. woopteedoo. that was worse than doing nothing, let me tell you. and i realized that i cant do braindead work. i'm very fast at it, but i was going to go crazy. i might not be the most creative kid in the world, but i would die if i did a job like that. i really have no work, they gave me nothing to do cuz i finished the data entry today. *sigh* it's an opportunity for me to do my essays for class i guess. but this is me, miss procrastinator. i've been emailing tagging people and looking up stuff online. i'm almost done with 1 essay, 1 more to start.
on a different note, i think it's funny how they play all these songs on the radio here that remind of me ds. but it's only in my head, considering no one here has any idea what ds is. like when they play me against the music, or even any of the other songs that other people danced to. too bad i cant really share this. o yea, and everyone needs to dl "superstar" by jamelia. my current fav song here. another good song is "bounce" by sarah connor or something like that. look it up. anyways...SO BORED!

i've got this weird obsession w/ mandarin oranges. i've eaten 5 already today, and it's only 3:30pm. would've eaten more this morning if i remembered to bring my lunch. they look funny, these oranges. the skin is like practically apart from the fruit already so it's easy to peel. they look not so good, but OMG they taste DELICIOUS. i cant stop eating them. they're only 1.40 dollars for one kilo! which makes it about 1 dollar a kilogram. SO totally worth it. haha today chris, one of the guys here kept on saying that everytime i said kilo, it made him think of dealing drugs. heheh anyways, i also had these "american donuts" today at the market, nothing like real american donuts, but VERY tasty. fresh, and filled with jelly. i like! i cant stop eating. i had half a duck yesterday, plus a bowl of wonton noodles. i meant to only eat a few pieces of the duck and save the rest. but that obviously didnt happen. plus i'm eating bread like some sort of mofo. OO i bought lychees the other day at the market too! it's like 5.40 per kilo, but it's worth it for a few of them. i also bought grapes which were for lunch todya, but i forgot to bring them. :( we dropped by the market in between classes today, that's why i have 2 huge bags of these oranges. gawd they're so good i wish i could bring them home with me. must stop talking about oranges. that's it for this post. i swear i'm not under the influence. i just keep thinking about these oranges. i think i'm going to eat another one when i get home. hehe. bye bye!

captioning!
this is from the grampians trip when we did that road rules stuff. this is our team, and that red thing behind us is a flag we had to get at the end.
one of the many pictures of the sydney opera house. anchi looking like george washington crossing the delaware, but since we're in australia, i should probably say looking like captain cook landing in australia for the first time (see, i'm learning australian history!)
our door at the funk house. the whole place is covered in paintings. there's one door that is a harry potter theme and say "harry pothead" on it, with harry smoking.
we look drunk, but i SWEAR i'm not. i kinda look pinkish too...but at this point i should've been stone sober. my stomach wasnt feeling good that day so i didnt drink. anchi looks like a deer in headlights.
this is some of us global village girls during the tree climb looking like hot construction workers.
can never go wrong w/ popping the collar.
girls in front of the opera house (missing andi gayle who took the picture)
it was a beautiful night, full moon, everything.
sydney was AWESOME! i like it better than melbourne. the weather is nicer, the location is nicer, everything is nicer! now i wanna be THERE! boo. anyways, dont have pictures up yet, give me a bit. i DID develop my pictures tho. i still like real pictures better than digital. we lived in king's cross (haha for those that know the area), it wasnt my choice, i SWEAR!! there were like prostitutes like 5 meters away from our door saying, want sex? want sex?
but it was a really fun trip. we all managed to get up pretty early to do our sightseeing bit, we saw the mikado, an opera at the sydney opera house, took a bazillion pictures of the opera house and the bridge, and had lots and lots of fun. woo wee!
umm... i dont know what else to say right now. laters guys!
