DS was HOT HOT HOT. you know i'm not too into the usage of the word hot, but there's no way around it in this case. BTW, pictures will be up soon.
this semester's DS was a lot of fun. while practices near the end were alittle nail biter, it all came together, and performing on stage is mucho fun. it's so different, cuz you're in costume, you're hair and makeup are done, it's like you stop being who you are almost, and take on this persona. the saturday crowd was AWESOME, there were SOO many people. thanks to everyone that came by and watched DS. i know there were some not-so-great dances, and mine/ours wasnt exactly the best or anything, but i hope it was worth your time and money to watch.
i kinda wished i went to the afterparty, but i have a stupid accounting exam tomorrow at 8:30 AM. i figure i wouldnt wake up early enough if i went to the party, and i'd waste the entire day and not study, which is a definite NO GO.
also, i think DS is one of the koolest organizations i'm involved in. it brings together so many different types of people, from different social groups on campus. we had over 150 dancers this semester, and i think that's about the norm. not only that, you meet a lot of people that you have never seen before, or never would've talked to. even in the dressing room, you meet people. everyone's so nice, you share stuff with these strangers, but it's all good. there's people doing each other's hair (which i LOVE to watch heehee), there's people talking, laughing, etc. i recommend everyone who's interested in dancing at all to try out for DS. there's so many different types of dancing to choose from. you're bound to find something you like. and if not, you can choreograph. :) anyways, like i said, pictures to come soon.
