List of things to buy (in no particular order, but the 1st two are MUSTS):

*PLANNER - 8.5 by 11, all the month sheets in the front and the week sheets in the back. I can't stand using these online calendars. I need to WRITE THINGS DOWN! I feel so lost and disorganized without my planner. =(

*Running Sneakers - My current ones give my right foot 2nd toe a blister when I run. That's a nono. They didn't used to, but ever since I stuck them in the washing machine, I've had this problem.

*Eyeliner - I've been bumming eyeliner off Jessica all summer, it's time for me to buy my own.

*Watch - It's 'time' (haha) I get one of these babies. Kinda annoying when I have to bust out my phone in class to check the time. Plus, it looks bad.

*Haircut - It's a service I pay for, so I'm considering it a purchase. My hair is getting LONG! I was looking at pictures from my trip to Texas at the beginning of summer, and it's quite short compared to now. Scared of getting my hair screwed up though...

*Fruit Snacks - Lots and LOTS of them. I've eaten a whole box of ten in the span of a few days. Because they're healthier than candy (sorta), and I need that sugary taste. I've got quite the sweet tooth.

*Handsoap, Saran wrap, Dishwashing liquid - Self explanatory.

So I know you're thinking, why are you writing this? But sucks to your ass-mar, because putting it down helps me remember so PTHHBBB!! (my effort at sticking out my tongue at you)

In other news, classes seem OK. IS team project looks to be pretty easy (just designing a mostly static site; only difficulty will be the web design, and that's definitely not my job due to my NEGATIVE skills in web design). Oral Comm is just making presentations/arguments in front of the class (too bad it's at 9 AM!), Strategy is doing case studies and a final team project, and Data Mining...ugh. I haven't taken a stats course in like a year; I've forgotten everything. First hw assignment, I'm like uh oh. How the heck do I find the MLE... Going for help tomorrow. Looks like I have NO final exams this semester. WOOHOO! That totally kicks ass. What that DOES mean is each class will have a final project. AWESOME!

O yea, I'm also in Golf and Yoga. Both are attendance based, which isn't a problem for Stephanie, the nerd who attends most all her classes. The other class I'm registered for is Arts in Pittsburgh. I was considering dropping it, but we'll see. It's where you go around and see shows (musicals, concerts, etc) on Fridays and Sat. evenings. Easy A, but it takes up time.

Somehow, I also managed to book myself for 2 SAT private tutors, and half of an SAT class (this other teacher was getting complaints, and then the teacher just quit). I figured I'd have more time this semester due to certain circumstances, so why not earn some extra money? Should all be done by the Oct. SAT, so it'll be OK. Plus I'm taking on 1 (possibly 2) campus jobs. OK. I know I said I wouldn't go crazy with the stress, but I always manage to load myself up with a lot of stuff... O well! hahahah

In other news, I'm debating whether or not to interview for jobs. While I realize the pressure is now off, and I don't need to, I sorta miss the stress of finding a job. How weird does that sound? "I want stress". I guess I like to live that "AHHH" life. Almost too boring to sit back. So... I have done a few resume drops, and I will see what I get. Maybe not even interview, but see if I can get some pre-selects. That'd be nice. Plus, my resume isn't even fully complete; I just submitted a half-assed one. It'll be interesting to see what I get. Plus, Jessica mentioned the possibility of free trips to NYC. haha this is true... but too bad there's almost no time to do anything BUT interview. Although I could rack up some nice mileage... we'll see I guess. I'm not going to work TOO hard; anything that requires me to fill out online forms, scratch that. Tony says I'll be taking away interview slots from people who need them. But I mean, if they're good, they'll get the slot regardless, right? I dunno... Anyways, I'll still go to the TOC just for the free stuff.

Finally have some time for Stephanie time. That meant shopping time. *tsk tsk Stephanie*. It was because I had to go get my free underwear from VS, and since I was there, I dropped by Banana and JCrew. I think after shopping w/ Jessica in NYC, my pricing is still alittle skewed. I ended up getting more work clothes from Banana (yes, even though I won't be wearing it for a while), and 2 zip ups from JCrew. 2 of the same thing in different colors... only $10 dollars each! I know I know, no body cares. But whatever, I didn't ASK you to read this! =)

Note to self: Still need to get eyeliner. Didn't see anything I liked from Sephora, their selection was quite limited.

So some reflections on this summer. I've been back at school for almost 2 weeks already, so I'm not as nostalgic as I would've been had I written this a while ago.

This summer was one of mostly highs, and a few lows thrown into the mix. I learned a lot about myself, more about what I want out of life. I had the opportunity to be around people that have known me for years, and some of whom I just met. I roomed with my best friend, and talked to her everyday (esp. at work. Gotta love interoffice chat). I hung out w/ Ann Chin, one of my fav people in the world. I went out w/ Justin and his friends on the weekends, and met Jessica's SEO friends. Kinda kool, cuz Justin and I hardly ever hung out in CL. He's also the koolest big brother EVER, for many reasons [ ;) ]. Also nice that I lived close enough to my sister to go shopping, eat brunch with her, and other stuff. Plus, my family was close enough to come into the city to occasionally bring me supplies.

Yes, this summer I ended my relationship with Tony. I figure by this time most people know, and if you don't, then now you know. I'm just trying to save you from eating your foot and feeling totally embarassed (already happened a few times). I don't want to go into any details about this, but for those of you at CMU, please don't feel weird about talking to one of us aboutu the other; we're still friends.

Due to this occurance, my life this summer was slightly different than expected. I had a great time getting to know and meet other people. I'm going to miss NYC, I think more for the people than the actual place. Like I've always felt, I'm not really cut out for NYC. At the same time, I will probably live there for another year or two; if I live in Stamford immediately, I'll be too grandma too fast. But I'll worry about finding housing later.

Another low involved an 'incident' where Jessica and I were both upset at the same time (silver lining: Buying Bloom rings). I admit, I overreacted, but as the years go on, I feel I am getting better at handling myself when I get mad and emotional. In general, I'm GROWING UP! YAY ME! And in other news, the incident has been resolved. =) Panda!

I think that my trip to Austin and my time in NYC showed me the life that I sometimes wished I had. I dug myself into this hole at CMU, that I'm not sure how to get out of. While I wished I had more down time b/w work and returning to school, I realize that it's probably for the best that it was just one big whirlwind. It forced me to start doing new things and meet new people.

This brings me to Orientation. It's been fun talking and meeting new people. It's kool wearing the 'OC' tshirt, and being kool for one week. After it, no more. But for 1 week, I'M ON TOP OF THE WORLD! hahaha. I also learned I know more about Pittsburgh than I thought. I've gone around a fair amount of the city, and tried many different restaurants. It's fun knowing all the answers about school and being helpful.

Whew! It's been a long entry. As for goals for this semester, I plan to take it easy (although I don't know if I'm good at that. I'm already considering picking up another job. haha), having fun, and just relaxing. I need to start figuring out my plans for Taiwan (next semester) also. Then, it's off to the city!

Life feels f*cking good.

OK I'm really pissed off. I just spent the past forEVER editing my blog to post pictures and captions and everything. I was resizing the pictures and everything, and I CLOSED THE TAB!!!! I DONT KNOW HOW!!! Please kill me now. Because I'm lazy, instead of posting specific pictures, just link to the album.

This was a great summer. Ask me if you have any questions about any pictures. I'm pissed about spending so long on it, and it screwing up. RAWR!

One week to go!

Been taking a good amount of pictures; will post once I get back to my own computer and I can shrink and post them.

Highlight of my day: Winning 50 bucks. One of the experiments I did at CMU during the year; it was one of those "If you are one of the top blah blah people then you earn 50 bucks!" And today I receive and email telling me that I'm one of those people! How kool is that?

Had dinner w/ Ann today. Talked about how we're not ready to become adults yet. Listening to my coworkers talk about paying 4000 a year for school taxes in LI, plus there's property tax, mortgage, car insurance, health insurance, saving up for college... I don't know how people do it. NYC people might earn more money, but the standard of living is WAYY to high. TAKE ME BACK TO HOUSTON!!! And we talked about how Houston is hot, but no one really sweats. You walk from the building to your car; there's always air conditioning. In NYC, you sweat on your way to work, on your way back from work, waiting for the subway, there's no centralized ac in your apt... it's HOT!

Don't get me wrong. It's been a super break. I've earned enough money to buy my powerbook (currently in transit to my home in NJ), do a good amount of shopping, become a lot more superficial (not such a good thing), and overall, have a lot of fun. NYC's been great, but looking long term, it's not my thing. I miss the suburban life; hitting up Super Target for fun, driving around, being able to put shopping bags into a CAR instead of lugging them around, not having to CAB everywhere... LOVE TEXAS!

I saw Mark Wahlberg outside Central Park yesterday. CRAZY!

I love star sightings.
