weird story for the day:
walking to my opti class today, i walk by these trash cans that (as usual) have a goodly number of bee-like insects hovering around. (you can probably see where this is leading, eh?) so as i enter the building, i first go wash my hands, due to the delectable gyro i had eaten previously, then walk to my classroom.
i sit down, and i smooth back my hair, as we all know i have multiple hairs that like to fly away, much like flyaways. so as i'm smoothing it back, i feel this rough thing in my hair; at first i thought it was my hair caught on the metal clasp of my hairband, but as i continue smoothing, it pricks me, and then brushes away onto the ground. i look at the annoying burr that caught in my hair, and lo and behold, it's one of those bee-like insects! what the heck! the side of my index finger kinda of hurts, but i do not know whether i've been stung or not. perhaps the body is just a prickly thing. my neighbor eddie steps on the bugger and swipes it aside with his foot under the seat in front of me.
i spent the first half of class staring at the still-twitching body of the wasp. as i look back at it a little later, i notice it has moved. where did it go?? that bug had flipped over and started walking!!! i pointed it out to eddie, telling him he did a poor murdering job, in hopes that he will smash it. instead, he picks up the insect and starts playing with it for the rest of the period. he also continues to tell me that it is a drone wasp, and that it wont sting(i was wondering why he was playing with it). it might not sting, but an hour later, my finger is still sore. anyways, we named it bob, and at the end of class, he placed it back onto the floor where he got it from. stupid wasp cant even fly, i think he should've killed it and gave it a quick easy death. ahh, well.
that's probably the most interesting thing that's happened to me of late.
btw, HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY to ERIC LIU!!!!!
