eric liu: u called 8 minutes after midnight, but it's all good b/c u were freaking in a hospital. i'm amazed that u even thought about it, under the circumstances. and dont worry, i'll religiously check my mailbox. :)
ann double chin: hahahaha u know i luv u!!! again, i look 4ward 2 my mailbox also when i get back 2 school. hehe u actually remembered the REAL date this time. jp!!! cant 4get yours ms. HARRY POTTER!!! call me when u have time. i called u back, but u didnt pick up the cell. it's all good. u're prolly partying hearty. ;)
pat: it's freaking hell week (worst day is today too) and u actually remembered and called me b4 u went to go do your hellish activities. u sounded SOO tired on the phone, but it was sooo sweet that u called. thank u so much. it means so much to me!!!

in effort to procrastinate for my econ exam tomorrow, here i am updating my blog.

1st, i give u the tentative pi chant. we're still tweaking the lines, but the jist is there:

three point one four one five nine,
who do'you think is mighty fine?
two six five three five eight nine,
tri-pi phi pi is our sign!!!

for those that dont know what pi pi pi or phi pi are, then u just gotta ask 1 of us. (it's in our profiles). haha anyways, the chant is great, huh? props to frank for coming up w/ it.

o yea, and 4 a example of the nerdiness of my school: friday was "pi day", it's pi's birthday or something. so some ppl chalked 8192 digits of pi all over the ground all over campus. i think there's more than 1 pi too, cuz it's seriously all over the place; up and down streets, everywhere. NERDINESS!

next thought: it's amazing how one can have SO much confidence in one's abilities. i dont doubt u, but...i dont know. i'm some1 who has a lack of confidence in many areas of my life. but to KNOW that u're going 2 be successful in life, and that u're gonna earn lots and lots of money...how can you just KNOW that? i'm sure u can, u're so damn smart... but...STILL!!! (btw, u should learn to take your wrongs better. a good ceo admits when he has made a mistake) RAWR! i still think that's nutso man.

4 months and counting! i couldnt ask 4 a better boyfriend. he's the BEST!!! :) he even does the dishes! wow!!!

heh and early thanks to eric liu, ann chin, and jessica wang 4 remembering. yall are the greatest. *HUG*

sign that says i'm becoming less and less texan: i said ehhric instead of AIRic. if you dont know what i'm talking about, call me and i'll tell u. damn east coast influence.

o man! i was xanga surfing a bit on ppl from home and i saw pictures from the rodeo! awww...i wanna go 2 the rodeo. then i heard some crazy stories bout them...hahahahaha.

anyways, yea. i've been talking 2 lots of ppl from home the past few days, since most ppl are on spring break. it's been totally awesome, and i've really enjoyed catching up w/ yall. @ the same time tho, makes me miss u guys more. *sigh* yall are all hanging out 2gether, and i'm still stuck @ school. also, i saw pictures of asian night(compliments of sma), and i was like wow. cant believe they managed to pull it together this year, good job! plus, i realized how i kinda miss high school. it's weird. i mean, i'd never go back again now, college is wayyy better and wayyy kooler, but man, those were some crazy ass times we had. haha we had so much FUN! esp. this summer. summer was soooo great. ahh..memories.

that's all 2 my thought. anyways, KIT okie every1?

btw, many of u seem to not understand the commenting situation. heh. yes u can actually comment on this by clicking on the link comment @ the bottom of the entry. wow. i didnt know yall didnt understand that.

man, next week looks to be a bit more intense than i'd like it. 3 exams, 1 final essay due. plus i'm working this sat. from 9-11, 12:30-4:30. gotta earn that money and study study study! then BREAK w/ FOOOOD! yum yum yum. it's all about the FOOD! i need a haircut. even my RA told me it was long. :)

yup yup. here's pictures of the yummy yummy FOOD that was made. these are thanks to tony( most of these are also on his xanga, click on his name to see).

WONTON ACTION

dont they look YUMMY? yea...tony and i did a helluva good job. they WERE yummy.

see? that's jeff proving our wontons were yummy. wow, i see some cavity fillings in there...

we had some left over filling, so we ended up w/ 2 meatballs. yes...the connotations w/ that are quite abundant... anyways, turns out the meatballs had better flavor b/c the soup was able to soak into it better. yum yum. there's that whole east meets west look to the bowl.

this is tony and my private stash of shrimps that we got @ the asian food market. yea, asian places leave the head on. these shrimps were sooOoOo good. i didnt have any green onions tho...but that's ok. wanna know how 2 make? recipe from my mommy. add garlic, ginger, green onions, and cooking wine. that's it! yum yum yum! DEEELICIOUS!

o yes, props to the mommies for helping out w/ the recipes and such. hopefully i'll learn more over summer and be a food connoisseur. OK. maybe not. but hopefully i can make something else that will sustain me.

btw, next food project: SPRING ROLLS!!!

it's time for another post. much happenings occured this midsemester break, but i haven't gotten around to writing about it all. or any. heh. well, it was a good break. i quite enjoyed it. it'd b a hassle to go back and talk about everything we did. highlights include playing mah jong w/ my cousin, going 2 the conservatory, and spending good quality time w/ friends after crazy hectic school times. the break was well-deserved by all. OoO and we had pho today. REAL pho, but not @ the place we were aiming to go 2. this place...ehh..it was kinda lacking. but @ least it's authentic, unlike the 'pho' @ lulu's. more like regular beef soup.

anyways, it's PICTURE TIME!!! i finally got around to getting pictures from chris and shrinking them, altho some of the files are still big. they have 2 b, b/c if i dont keep them a certain size, they look all crappy. so...i hope that u didnt have to wait too long to upload them. also, hope your connection is decent. heh.

THE MUSEUM 2/15/2003

yea...this was great. lots of fun was had here in the 1 hour we spent rushing through. dave INSISTED we see the dinos 1st, so we did see them.

dave...looking adorable. haha he's so cute. he's even got the backpack thing on that looks like a shell.

hehe yes...we look stupid. but it wasnt our idea! altho i dont remember who's it was...but i SWEAR it wasnt my idea!

3/6/2003

here we are mah jonging it up, @ least some of us. that's KENNY my COUSIN who's opposite of me, the kool guy who provided the set and got all the boys obsessed. they freaking played till 6 in the MORNING! i was konked out @ like 3 or 4 or something, and tony was asleep by 5. and the boys CONTINUED to play till 6. CRAZINESS! oo yea, there was also psone gaming going on, and movie watching. lots of good ole cheap(aka FREE) fun. stupid 13 cards. it's all about the taiwanese method. I MISS MY MAH JONG KREW!!!

TRIP TO PHIPPS CONSERVATORY 3/8/2003

much to the suprise of most who went, this trip actually turned out 2 b ok, even tho it's just a place w/ flowers. the current exhibit is this awesome orchid one, and there's some really pretty ones. tony's gonna make me a collage of them for my background. yay! we actually took a LOT of pictures here, but i could only select a few for your viewing pleasure. if u wanna see more, just IM me! o yea, all pictures here are thanks to chris and his awesome digicam.

check it out. TAIPEI orchid! woohoo!

this is every1 looking into the reflection of this wishing well w/ gross stagnant water.

there was this way awesome water fountain that you could control by playing w/ these buttons, and that's jessma and i playing w/ it. :)

dont we look kool? FOB STYLE! not fobe, FOB!

these are the twins(tony and frank) looking hard up in the pretty conservatory.

this place is sooo pretty.

OK, i couldnt resist. that's the garden w/out us. plus i left the picture semi-large b/c it looks so much better big. u really have 2 go there. SOO pretty!!!

hahaha in my pursuit to find the outdoor garden part i kinda led every1 on a wrong turn thru this semi-deserted area, and that's frank kicking a "tumbleweed".

o yes, i 4got to mention how i found 2 quarters on the floor on the way there. and those 2 quarters were put to good use when i bought 2 sticks of honey. (25 cents per stick, plus no tax). awesome dawsoN!!

so i think that all of our outings have been pretty successful. there was also the outing to the chinese grocery store in the strip district(which might explain my away msg 'stripping' that confused many of u, and i recieved many ims about it). that was also quite fun. i'm still waiting 4 tony's uploads of our food pictures. when those are up i will definitely put them up here to show the successful food making. yay!!!!

well, school starts again tomorrow. boooooo. well, actually today, b/c it's past midnight already. laters!

Sunday, March 02, 2003

yea..i'm updating again. SO WEIRD! i'm on like a crazy updating spree.

so what's the deal this time u wonder? well, i just finished orchestra practice and i was thinking about how all my life b4 i have had a pretty musical life. i started learning piano in like kindergarten, and played the flute starting in 6th grade. i cant even begin to imagine the amount of money my parents spent on my musical education. private lessons, solo/ensemble, buying the actual instruments, buying me music, all the funds that go into marching band, buying our fundraising chocolate, the list goes on and on. then most of us...kinda throw our instruments to the side. many dont realize the foundation this has set in our minds, and...i dont know what i'm trying 2 say. i guess i want to thank my parents for allowing me the opportunity to learn and love music. not even just classical, but to appreciate all music. shoot, i LOVE the oldies. and disney songs, r&b, house, country, pretty much anything. honestly, classical music is the foundation for everything else, and it's wonderful to hear it.

heh, so OK the orchestra sux. i'm used 2 playing w/ really good players i guess. i'm not saying i'm good; in fact i screw up quite a bit now. but i guess i'm just used 2 playing on another level, playing everyday, practicing to achieve perfection. now, it's practicing to try and get thru a song. hehehe. altho we are playing interesting music. jupiter, the marriage of figaro, hungarian rhapsody, variations by edgar...it's all well-known stuff. i love hearing the way all the different instruments mesh together and form this beautiful...sound. granted our orchestra is a volunteer thing and that we're quite top heavy and lacking strings and bass, but still. i love it.

so i guess my real point of this entry was just to say THANK YOU MAMMY AND DEDDY for spending a crapload of money on my musical education. so maybe i slacked and didnt practice a lot. and maybe i should've, but i'm a really bad and lazy person. sorry 4 that. but besides that, i love music. music is great. there's some feelings that words can not express, and can be done through music. have u ever got that feeling where u hear something, or u're playing something, and chills just runs thru your body? it's so awesome.

here i go updating again. wow, this is a lot of updating.

anyways, i went 2 disney on ice today. it was great! i really felt that "magic of disney" stuff going on. cute stuff. not quite michelle kwan quality(actually not even close), but still it was nice. i LUV disney music. man, whoever makes that stuff is great. yea, so my point of talking about this has nothing 2 do w/ the reason i'm updating. so i sitting foward in my chair the entire time. @ intermission i lean backwards while i read my friend's program, and i'm like..wtf is in my pants? i realized this stupid little girl sitting behind my has managed to drop nachos down my pants. some of it even got in my underwear. wtf right?? and what REALLY sux is that when i lean back i break a lot of the chips up into little pieces IN MY ASS. WTF???? so the entire time i'm picking broken chips OUT OF MY PANTS. STUPID LITTLE GIRL!!!! and i would've gone 2 the bathroom but the line was so dang long. so the best i could do was pick out the crap, and then stand up and knock out chips as best i could. RAWR. then this stupid girl is like yelling and her parents are yelling @ her a lot during the show. STUPID LITTLE KIDS. hahahahaha. it's all good.

anyways, that's it. heh. just wanted 2 say that.
